About
THE BOOK OF GRANNY

“Now, I must tell you...”

Granny had a choice phrase she employed when she wanted to be serious with Jared and Audrey.

First, she'd get quiet and wait for a break in their conversation and noise-making.

“Now, I must tell you...” she'd say, before launching into a firm but gentle admonishment:

“You must write a thank-you note when someone gives you a gift.”

“You must flush the toilet after you use it.”

“You must not go into the pool without one of us watching.”

Jared and Audrey were used to doing whatever they wanted, whenever they wanted, but they knew that when Granny told them, “I must tell you,” they knew she meant business.  ❐
