Vicky and the love quotes

Vicky had an obsession with love, romance, relationships, weddings, and fairy tale endings.

She was especially fond of quotes about love, be they insightful and poetic or just made-up on the spot.

Josh and Jared, fittingly, made up a pair of love quotes with which to amuse her.

Josh's was, “What if we were on top of a mountain, looking up at the stars... Would you still love me in the morning?” (It should be noted that Josh was not literally referring to himself and Vicky, but rather a general we.)

Vicky was overcome with emotion. She got choked up and almost had to hold back tears.

Another time, she was talking to Jared, feeling pessimistic about love, and she asked him, “What if love wasn't enough?”

Jared looked deeply into her eyes for dramatic effect and replied,

“What if hate was?”

Again, she was overcome with emotion. She shuddered and put her hand over her mouth.

Vicky continued loving and quoting both of the made-up lines for years after. For the guys, there was absolutely no point to it other than for their own sick amusement.  ❒
