Christian G.

Christian Gxxx was a strange friend of Sris's in middle and high school and a strange friend of Josh's as an adult. (Oddly, though, there was never a time period where all three were friends concurrently.) He was commonly known by just his last name, but for legal purposes, I don't know what it is.

Christian knew Sris from their church youth group, and Sris spoke about him every now and then to the guys. Christian was not particularly religious like Sris was, but they seemed to have gotten along well enough. They shared a love of music. One of the most memorable traits about Christian was that he was obnoxious. He was always loud, joking around, trying to be the center of attention – but all in all, a good guy. Sris, being shy and reserved, may have been drawn to this.

Jared knew him, too, but not well. They may have met a couple of times.

Strangely, Christian would constantly change his Facebook name: from Christian Gxxx, to Christian Ixx Gxxx, to Christian “Skaman” Gxxx, to Christian “Likestoskank” Gxxx (both nicknames being references to ska music, which he was a fan of). It was unclear whether anyone actually referred to him by these novelty names or why he felt the need to change his Facebook name to include them.

As an adult, he lost touch with Sris but became acquainted with Josh through other friends. Josh would see him at parties where he would continue to be obnoxious, and though Josh was often annoyed with him, he was at least entertaining.

Even more strangely than anything else was the fact that, to this day, Christian is unemployed because his mom won't “let him” work. That is not an exaggeration. His mom does not want him to work, and so he doesn't. Nobody knows why. He lives at home, presumably, and isn't in school.

More recently, Josh overheard Christian brag at a party that he fuked Isa, Sris's ex-girlfriend from high school. Josh immediately knew he was lying. Not only was it a completely random name to pick, but Isa was a staunch Catholic who had been openly considering becoming a nun.

Oh, and, once, at another party, Josh brought Jared's name up in a conversation. For some reason, Christian got so excited to hear about Jared that he was practically jumping up and down. He said he was the coolest person ever, which is true, but again, they had only met a couple of times. Nobody knows why he reacted this way, especially as he has never once tried to connect with Jared.  ❒
