The Big 5

In their drama classes, Josh and Jared were close with Dani C., Mariah, and Christina in particular.

People tended to recognize Josh and Jared as a comedic duo, and the three girls came to be known as DMC. Jared thought they should go by a name that encompassed all of them.

His lazy, half-assed name for their “crew” was The Big 5. He thought it would christen the beginning of a beautiful friendship, that they might go to parties and have adventures and take pictures and be like characters in a teen TV series.

Instead, they never did much of anything except sit around and talk in drama class. Over the summer, Josh would disappear, and he never wanted to be associated with The Big 5 anyway.

The name quickly died.  ❒
