Ariel C. yelling “QUUUUUIIIIIEEEEETTTTT!!!!!”

When the drama class got too loud and rambunctious, Ariel C. liked to take it upon herself to bellow, “QUUUUUIIIIIEEEEETTTTT!!!!!” as loud as humanly possible.

She thought she was helping get the class under control, but would yell it in completely unnecessary situations. She would always hold out the last note as long as she could muster, irritating everybody around her. She was universally despised for this, even by teachers.

Ariel's yelling of quiet was so annoying that the rest of the class would murmur their disapproval quite audibly. Jared would often reply, “Don't do that” under his breath, but Ariel seemingly didn't notice.

The worst part aside from the actual yelling of the word was Ariel's smugness. She thought that her behavior was funny and quirky. She even would occasionally throw in, “You knew I was going to do it!” after a particularly loud quiet, as if we were all clapping and high-fiving her. No one was.

It's funny what stays in people's memories decades after high school, and unfortunately, this utterly immature outburst is one of the few things most of the class remembers about Ariel.  ❒
