Talking 401(k)s, mortgages, and insurance prank

In drama class, Josh and Jared would often be deep in conversation and not feel like talking to anyone else. Usually, this was precisely when other members of the class would walk up to them and try to join in.

Without missing a beat, the guys would instantly change the conversation to be about 401(k)s, mortgages, insurance, and other boring “adult” topics. They would improvise and play it completely straight, talking about how expensive paying the mortgage was, how difficult it was to find good insurance, contributing to the 401(k), etc.

Whoever had walked up trying to join in would stand there, bewildered, wondering what the guys were talking about and why. If they asked, Josh and Jared acted like they, the classmate, were crazy for not following. Then they'd just keep focused on the conversation until said person got confused and tired enough to walk away.

There was absolutely no point to it other than for their own sick amusement.  ❒
