DAVID GREENBERG STOLE JARED'S MEWTWO.
Famously, Jared pulled a holographic base set Mewtwo in his first Pokémon card booster pack ever.
He proudly showed it off to everyone he knew, including at school — even though Pokémon cards weren't permitted to be brought there.
One afternoon in After School Care, David Greenberg, a fat, older kid that Jared did not know well, asked to see Jared's binder of Pokémon cards. (David's name is not being censored because he deserves to be shamed.)
He said he wanted to bring it over to show some of the other kids. He made it seem like he was hyping up Jared's collection. Sadly, Jared felt pressured and fell for the easy trap.
He gave David the binder, and when David returned a few minutes later, the Mewtwo was clearly missing. It wasn't just Jared being overly suspicious — there was a giant empty space in the sleeve page where the card had very obviously just been.
Jared immediately called him out, but David made up some excuse and disappeared. Presumably, the school staff wouldn't or couldn't do anything about it because Pokémon cards were banned for that very reason.
Jared never recovered his beloved card. Actually, he was lucky that was the only one missing.
Funnily enough, Josh actually knew David Greenberg from playing hockey and could corroborate that he was, indeed, a fat jerk. ❐
