Holick and Shqualick [HAW-lick and SHKWA-lick] was a non-sequitur Jared liked to say that actually did have a bit of meaning. Jared imagined Holick and Shqualick, respectively, to be two “thumb people,” like pinkish-white ovular blobs with no faces. They always stood side by side. Holick was a male dressed in overalls and a straw hat like a farmer, and Shqualick was a female who wore a frilly pink dress. ❒
