Jared and Audrey's names

Memo liked to tell Jared and Audrey about how they got their names.

Audrey was just a name Memo had always loved, growing up.

Jared was supposedly an acronym where each letter represented the name of a different ancestor of theirs — J for Jose, A for Abraham, R for Rose, E for Elida, and D for Dora.

Oddly, other than Grandma Rose, none of the other family members were ever once talked about or even mentioned in their lives, EVER. Jared and Audrey barely knew they existed.

Plus, the “Jared” acronym story was so rarely mentioned that Audrey didn't know it existed until 2026.

As for their middle names, they were just straight homages to their late uncle, Michael, who died many years before they were born.

In addition to said origins, Memo would also occasionally mention the shows Dallas and The Big Valley. Dallas featured two actors named Jared and Audrey, and The Big Valley had characters named Jarrod and Audra.

Jared always remembered giggling at the idea of “Audra” Gair. ❐
